The city was incorporated in 1956 and was first settled in 1919. Horace McCullum had named the new city after the head of the Quartermaster Corps, Major William Radcliffe. The town offers a variety of recreational opportunities to newcomers and visitors. One of the stunning sites that are a must to visit while in Radcliff is Saunders Springs which is a beautiful park for all the scenery lovers out there. Conveniently located on North Wilson Road, families and friends can visit the park and view the natural scenery and walk among the many trails that are available. The several waterfalls in the reserve keep the area cool during the hot summers and the creek-sides are perfect for relaxing and meditation. The availability of shelters on the premises offers ample opportunities to hold picnics. The old cabins that are scattered all over the preserve are fairly old and add a historical element to any event that is held there.
A trip to the Boundary Oak distillery will leave you impressed because a single visit allows you to meet and interact with friendly people and also learn about the process in an engaging manner. It is one of the distinct distilleries in the area and is operated by a family business. You can learn all about how they make their unique blend of spirits and give them that fusion flavor.
